Tarapoto Peru.

In 2016, I embarked on an epic journey in search of connection, healing, and love. I began at a quiet meditation center in Western, MA. Here, I engaged in meditation, deep self-reflection and methodically cultivated self-love.

A week later I left for an Ayahuasca retreat in the outskirts of the Amazon jungle. Tarapoto boasts both mountains and jungle with tributaries snaking their way through the valleys.

I met a gaggle of amazing humans on their own journey. During the day, we rested and explored rural Peru. We visited a coca turned cacao farm, a chocolate factory, river clay pottery communities, and a nearby waterfall.

In the evenings, we participated in the thousands year old Ayahuasca ceremony. Our ceremonies were guided by a Shipibo Shaman and a Buddhist teacher-turned-Shaman. The evening ceremonies took me to places I never imagined. I’m eternally grateful for this time.
